They came, they saw, they conquered!
The nine Stockport candidates on our supported Duke of Edinburgh Bronze expedition achieved such fantastic things up at Linnet Clough.
The Scout Activity Centre at Mellor was the scene of challenges such as archery, campfire-making, team-building and of course that high ropes test-of-nerves they call The Cube.
Each candidate had their own personal goals. Just climbing a few steps up off the ground is a massive achievement for anyone scared of heights. Staying away from the familiarity and security of home can seem a big enough challenge on its own and of course there were also those who would be content with nothing short of conquering The Cube!
Now you can see all the candidates in action in our brand new video short above.
The Duke of Edinburgh Awards are about far more than just the expedition though. Over many months the young people are involved in voluntary work, learning new skills and trying new activities.
The Award builds confidence, enhances any CV and is a great life experience.
