Just look at this beautiful festive wreath made by Pure clients. Not only does it look absolutely stunning but it embodies two important messages very close to our hearts: sustainability and working together.
The materials used to create it have been either been hand-crafted, saved from being thrown away or been collected from nature on different Pure activities.
The baubles are all donations to the centre or odds and ends that could have ended up as landfill. They may have the odd scratch here and there but together they make a stunning display.
The lower half of the circle is decorated with twigs and fir cones gathered by our walking group when they have been out and about in beautiful parks and woodland. Many of the cones have been painted and transformed into ‘flowers’ . The clay hearts have also been hand-crafted by clients.
Everyone at the centre has been involved in either collecting for or crafting this lovely piece of work.
We thought it deserved a name and we have chosen one that reflects all that communal gathering. We have called it The Pure Collective.
Everyone is very proud of the end result. Teamwork rules!

This lovely festive fireplace is another impressive work, this time by the Textiles group. (Well Santa needed heatproof clothes, obviously!)
Congratulations to all the clients and staff at the Jonathan Burns Centre, Middleton who have created such beautiful things in the run up to Christmas.
